How to brew loose-leaf tea

Brewing loose leaf tea can be seem overwhelming at first. Especially when we are used to doing everything fast and have always enjoyed the convenience of tea bags. Our goal with this post, if to ease your entry into the world of loose-leaf tea.

You will need the right tools. You can find the perfect measuring spoon on as well as an infuser ball you can enjoy for years to come. You can also choose to use a measuring spoon that you already have at home.

Start by boiling some water in a kettle or a pot. To get the best taste out of your leaves, make sure to use a soft water. Depending on the size of the leaves, you can add one or two perfect spoons of leaves in your strainer/infuser and steep it in the previously boiled water. Let it sit for 3 to 5 minutes to bring out the flavors from your leaves. Remove the strainer/infuser from the cup.

At this point, decide if you will add milk, sugar or another type of sweetener to your cup. Now sit down comfortably, relax, and take the time to enjoy. Don’t rush, you only live once, so take your time.
